After “Kali Yuga Bizarre” appearance, nothing was going to be the same. While black metal was following a much more mainstream road and chasing wider audiences, Italy’s Aborym came back shocking the metal scene again with their blend of industrial influences and harsh black metal. The new line-up featured Set Teitan (later with Dissection and Watain), the mastermind Fabban, Nysrok (Alien Vampires) and Attila Csihar (Mayhem, Tormentor, Plasma Pool) now on board as a full member. “Fire Walk With Us” went on to demonstrate that the paths of black metal and extreme electronics could successfully cross!
Aborym draws inspiration from classic and pitch-black extreme metal alongside industrial and electronic sounds. “Kali Yuga Bizarre” still stands as a fierce and uncompromising black metal opus withstanding perfectly the passing of time.
