The industrial metal duo continues to blaze its own trail through a synthetic landscape reminiscent of the end of the world.
Aggressive, dark, and uncompromising, this is a crushing second opus.
FauxX is back with its second album: Anteroom. While still progressive in its approach, this second album offers more direct and in-your-face compositions.
With a unique atmosphere, the industrial metal duo once again breaks free from trends and continues to forge its own path with a blend of organic drums, keyboard chemistry, and torn vocals.
Tracks such as “Hyperwar” and “The Revealer” (featuring Diego Janson from Karras) show a more aggressive side!
Others, such as “Burnt Velvet Retinas” and “Demiurge Data,” call for trance with their introspective endings.
With dripping synthetic leads, raw choruses, and sticky, chemical atmospheres, each track adds up to a perfect soundtrack for a Gaspard Noé on LSD.
Of particular note is the cover of “Here Comes the War” by the English band New Model Army, a very topical track.
FauxX has played live, culminating in Hellfest in 2022, sharing the stage with bands such as Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Front 242, Shaarghot, and Horskh.
This album, Anteroom, is permeated with a feeling of breaking point, that tipping moment when everything becomes dizzying, when the slightest tension turns into an apocalypse.
