Iron Echo - Forged In Fire - CD

IRON ECHO is a heavy metal band from Heilbronn, Germany, that was founded in August 2022. Although the band is still relatively young, the members are old hands and have already made a name for themselves in the metal scene through their previous projects. Powerhouse vocalist Johnny Vox has shone on the microphone in X-RAY, DOCTOR SPEED, SYRENCE and FIREFORCE, guitarist Timo has flashed across the strings in SPITEFUEL and ZARDOZ, ZotteL is active in YEAHROCK and complements the guitar duo with melodic and powerful riffs, bassist Lois, previously in ELWING, provides the band's driving rhythm together with former SPITEFUEL drummer BJ. At the end of 2024, the band's debut album, 'Forged In Fire', was sold on CD at their concerts and was immediately met with praise. Stylistically, the album can be categorized as an intersection of classic heavy metal and power metal in the vein of JUDAS PRIEST, HELLOWEEN, PRIMAL FEAR and ACCEPT. Some of it sounds familiar, but much of it is new and different. And so you keep pricking up your ears and the hairs on the back of your neck stand up with excitement. Produced, mixed and mastered by sound guru Achim Köhler (PRIMAL FEAR, AMON AMARTH, SINNER, BRAINSTORM, NITROGODS, ZAR, BLACK+DAMNED, etc.), the sound of the album is in no way inferior to the nine original compositions in terms of quality and power. After some discussions between the band and Metalapolis Records at the beginning of 2025, it was quickly agreed that the album and the band absolutely deserve more attention. So on June 27th, 2025 the album will be made available to fans for the first time in stores with SPV as worldwide distributor.
