We had scheduled an entire 10-hour day at Gatos Trail, but little did I know my jam session would get cut short as I had to bail for a home repair emergency. So we only got five hours—but that five hours gave us Volumes Three and Four.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI hope you enjoy Volume Four. These are the longer jams we did, and the mix is reminiscent of ’70s dub reggae. Not that I don’t have enough already but jamming with Yawning Man means you have to build a massive pedal board and try to get the most “out there” sounds you can. At least that’s what it means to me. Another aspect is once we start jamming I like to improvise riffs but keep them in mind so I can return to them throughout the jam. It was an honor to share a few hours playing with those dudes and I’m always surprised how much material we get out of it.
