I wondered what would it would have sound like if Lisa Gerrard had sung on something of this nature, in addition pushing the envelope even further by writing an aria towards the end of this piece including orchestra, choirs and percussion, which would result in one grand finale. It had to be something completely our own. This track now titled “Fallen” was the beginning and a part of what would ultimately become “Exaudia”. In recent years I have written a lot of Epic Orchestral, Choral-Percussive music therefore proceeded to introduced some of those colors to this album, accompanied by the beautifully, written, crafted and executed vocals Lisa Gerrard provided filling this collection of pieces with haunting-mystery and longing. Entitled One Night in Porto it was recorded during their seven date tour of Portugal in November 2022 and is released on Atlantic Curve on 12th May 2023 digitally and on July 14th 2023 physically. Re-creating Burn in concert was always going to be a challenge. The studio album was borne out of a single improvised session recorded eight years ago at Gerrard’s studio near Melbourne, Australia. Mojo magazine described the original album as follows: “Burn sounds like an enigmatic requiem, music for your own act of remembrance” Instead of merely replicating the album live, the two decided to use its melodic themes and sonic textures as a springboard into something new. They spent four rainswept days rehearsing at a small theatre by the seaside in Espinho and then headed off around Portugal to perform the work. One Night in Porto was recorded on Wednesday 23rd November 2022 at the world famous Casa Da Música in Porto, on what was the third concert of that tour.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Season of Mist - International","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53430282322263,"sku":"P-133627-","price":14.49,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0974\/6500\/8471\/files\/Lisa-Gerrard-And-Jules-Maxwell-One-Night-In-Porto-CD-DIGIPAK-133627-1-1682599761.jpg?v=1778182500"}],"url":"https:\/\/shop.season-of-mist.com\/collections\/label-atlantic-curve-schubert-music-europe-gmbh.oembed","provider":"Season of Mist - International","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
