Sadly it is another legend with a tragic story as Jesse Belvin was to tragically die in a car accident at the age of only 27 years. He had just finished the first integrated gig in Little Rock, Arkansas in history with Sam Cooke, Jackie Wilson and Marv Johnson. His wife Jo Ann Belvin was with him in the car and also sadly died. Foul play by white supremacists was hinted at but never proved! Three of our featured classic albums were to be released posthumously! As with our notes for Little Willie John we thought we should just let the facts, the stats and the music (his remarkable voice) speak (or sing) for themselves.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBorn, 15th December 1932 - died 6th February 1960.
