Green named the band by combining the surnames of drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie, who remained with the band throughout its many line-up changes. In that time, the band comprised of Stevie Nicks, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie and Lindsay Buckingham. In 1998 Fleetwood Mac were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and to date they've sold over 120 million albums worldwide, making them one of the best selling bands in music history.
