Kirin Dosha - Neverland - CD DIGIPAK

KIRIN DOSHA is the story of four guys who loved rock music and took it a step further by recording their debut album "Recovery" in 2012, heavily influenced by Muse and Placebo. This allowed them to perform locally in their home region of Paris. In 2017, after a lineup change, they released a five-track EP that leaned towards a heavier metal/electro sound. Now, at the beginning of 2020, they are truly launching themselves with a 13-track album titled "Neverland," presented in a digipak edition complete with a booklet.

While the band has certainly intensified their sound since their first recording, melody remains a crucial element throughout the album's compositions. The strong influences of U2, Foo Fighters, and Depeche Mode have been set aside. Here, the vocals are very melodic, bordering on pop, while sharp guitar parts emerge over powerful rhythms, and the use of keyboards is well-placed without overwhelming the tracks.

In short, don’t expect heavy, leaden riffs or aggressive sounds. However, if you are a fan of melancholic and melodic rock supported by foot-tapping rhythms, this new release is made for you.
