Their first official release was the 'Dreams Like Deserts' EP on Hot Records, \u0026amp; from there-on the band became a truly cult act, releasing a string of albums among ongoing live performances over the subsequent decades.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAll members of Aura Noir have had illustrious careers to date, with Carl-Michael Eide (Aggressor) notable for his work in Ved Buens Ende, Dødheimsgard, Virus, \u0026amp; Fleurety, as well as being part of other scene icons such as Ulver \u0026amp; Satyricon in their formative years. Apollyon, currently also seen in Coffin Storm with Darkthrone's Fenriz, previously featured in Dødheimsgard, as well as Lamented Souls \u0026amp; Immortal. Completing the trio is Blasphemer, formerly of fellow Norwegian legends Mayhem, as well as being current mainman in his recently established band, RUïM.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eOriginally released in 2018, ‘Aura Noire’ was the band’s sixth \u0026amp; (to date) final album. Incorporating ideas beyond pure raw black thrash which often dominated prior releases, ‘Aura Noire’ included more progressive elements within the compositions, yet still remaining firmly grounded in the foundations of dirty 80s thrash metal.
