Founded by vocalist and songwriter Daniele Micelli “Picet”, the band has moved from earlier folk-influenced elements toward a darker, heavier and more direct Thrash \/ Death Metal approach.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e“Mgla”, meaning “Fog”, is built around themes of war memory, historical trauma and borderland identity. The lyrics are connected to events from the First and Second World Wars, approached through local memory, oral tradition and personal references. Key tracks include “Mgla”, inspired by gas attacks during World War I near Bovec \/ Plezzo and “Gemona Btg. Doesn’t Exist Anymore” dedicated to the Alpini soldiers of the Julia Battalion “Gemona”. Other songs address themes linked to Albania, the Foibe massacres, Nazi concentration camps and Soviet Gulags.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Davide Zago with drum engineering by Pablo De Biasi.
