Bob Balch here. When I was invited to jam with Yawning Man out in Joshua Tree two years ago in April, I was very excited. I stacked all of my weirdest pedals onto a board and drove out there to embrace some improvisational jams.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWhenever I jam with those guys, I have no idea where it’s going, which makes it fun because it keeps me on my toes. We had scheduled an entire 10-hour day at Gatos Trail, but little did I know my jam session would get cut short as I had to bail for a home repair emergency. So we only got five hours—but that five hours gave us Volumes Three and Four.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI hope you enjoy Volume Four. These are the longer jams we did, and the mix is reminiscent of ’70s dub reggae.
