Waking The Misery - Phoenix - CD DIGIPAK

Waking The Misery is a metalcore band founded in 2014 by K’ in Essonne, France. Over the past five years, after various lineup changes, they have released three singles, one EP, one album, two music videos, and performed at over 20 shows. In 2019, the band shifted towards a groovier sound, embracing a unique brand of neo-metal, and recorded a demo featuring three tracks titled “Eat This!”, followed by their third music video, the initial version of “Cheesecake.”

With another lineup change, the band stabilized in August 2021 with the addition of a new bassist and frontman, bringing together members from Essonne (91), Seine-et-Marne (77), Yvelines (78), and Loiret (45). Each member contributes their own influences, ranging from Slipknot and Linkin Park to diverse styles like Esprit Du Clan and Lofofora, resulting in a fresh musical foundation for the band. This blend has given rise to a distinctly recognizable style.

In September 2021, the new lineup of Waking The Misery turned a new page by launching the Mennecy Metal Fest and set ambitious goals for the future. In 2022, the band focused on preparing their album “Phoenix,” which will be released on April 21, 2023, through self-production in collaboration with Season Of Mist for distribution. They are ready to step into the spotlight to promote it! 2023 will also mark the beginning of a side project featuring collaborations between Waking The Misery and other artists.
