Far from being easy to access, Woest's universe is deliberately as repulsive as it is iconoclastic. Here, black metal has a punk spirit, while French lyrics echo techno and industrial atmospheres. A nightmarish narrative set to electronic beats, which is equally effective live, where Woest complements his performance with projections of film clips oscillating between body horror and contemplation. After La Fin de l'Ère Sauvage (2017) and Le Gouffre (2019), the sonic creature that is Woest intends to continue his experiments with Vomir à Outrance.

This album is a raw reflection inspired by a period in the artist's life, where setbacks and existential emptiness shattered their sense of meaning. All accompanied by sharp, high-pitched guitars and an oppressive techno atmosphere, invoking an imaginary world rooted in the noisy reality of big cities. The ten tracks that make up this full-length album delve into philosophical reflections on grief, depression, and hatred through abstract and sensory lyrics. But above all, Vomir à Outrance is a resolutely experimental record: its final form is the result of a collective effort spanning several years, punctuated by doubts, setbacks, and soul-searching.
