No Jazz Quartet - The Storm Is Coming - LP COLOURED

Founded in 2018 as a cover band among friends in Marseille, the No Jazz Quartet took flight in 2019, embracing their original compositions. The pandemic pushed them into the studio, resulting in their debut album "You're Gonna Leave the Building Soon," released in 2023 under Closer Records. "The Storm Is Coming" marks their second album. The band consists of Sonic Polo (guitar/vocals), James Mc Clellan (guitar/vocals), Pierre Uzbekpedro (bass), and Manu Trolux (drums/percussion), supported by Philippe Petit (analog synth/prepared piano soundboard), Lolé Alexandre (keyboards), Jules Henriel (backing vocals), and Jearc (percussion/production).

While staying true to their uncompromising spirit and ecological stance, as reflected in the title that hints at political, climatic, and geopolitical storms, "The Storm Is Coming" undeniably showcases a brighter, more melodic tone. The compositions celebrate the love of rock in all its colors, including those of the classics. The lyrics tackle existential anxieties related to climate catastrophe, political collapses, and the warlike winds they stir, while also weaving in autobiographical anecdotes with a touch of self-deprecation. Ultimately, the album concludes on a note of hope, as these seasoned performers, despite life's challenges, continue to steer their course. The album was recorded between September 2024 and July 2025 at Local 54 Studios in Marseille, produced by Jean Marc "Jearc" Pisani, and mastered by François Fanelli at Sonics Mastering.
