Greek band NOCHNOY DOZOR releases their self-titled debut EP under the German label Prophecy Productions, known for its dark and original music. Formed in late 2015 by musician Manos Georgakopoulos, who is also part of DOOM UNIVERSE 217, this EP offers a sound that is both dark and melancholic, with atmosphere taking center stage. Upon first listen, the doom influences are immediately apparent, characterized by slow, heavy riffs as heard in the track "Ben Hur."

Notably, the music incorporates post-rock elements with strong atmospheric and dark pop accents, evident in songs like "Black Hand" and the delicate "Home Sick." The band's concise tracks, none exceeding 4 minutes and 30 seconds, immerse the listener in a somber and at times introspective ambiance, particularly in the piece "Stains." The compositions exude a sense of melancholy, reflected in the overall mood.

The vocalist's timbre aligns with that of dark singers like CHELSEA WOLFE and PJ HARVEY, captivating and enchanting throughout the six tracks, especially in "Closer," where her sensuality shines through.
