Strigoi’s debut album was already plenty unsettling, but the band’s follow-up pushed their grinding asphyxiations to such extremes, that it produced an abundance of putridity.‘Bathed in A Black Sun’ includes four unreleased and exclusive songs from ‘Viscera’ recording sessions, which were mixed and mastered by Kurt Ballou and Brad Boatright: "The Grotesque" and "A Spear of Perfect Grief" are taken from 7 inches that were included with special edition vinyl of 'Viscera', "The Construct of Misery” comes from a Decibel Magazine Flexi Disc, while the title track is pure unadultered filth, slimed with sludge riffs and a crusty drum groove. This EP proves that Strigori can mold nasty blackened death doom from anything – even their own remains.
