The Absence is an American melodic death metal band from Tampa, Florida.
Their style has been described as aggressive thrash metal with Scandinavian metal influences.

They were previously signed to Metal Blade Records and M-Theory Audio.
M-Theory Audio are proud to reissue their classic 2007 album ‘Riders of the Plague’ on a limited edition (300 copies)
Tigers Eye colored vinyl.
