The debut was an immediate commercial success. It peaked in the UK Albums Chart at number two and remained there for 33 weeks. A European tour followed, marked by a series of performances that showcased the band's urgent and unfiltered live sound. The standout concert of the tour was undoubtedly their appearance at Theater de Meervaart in Amsterdam on 21 April 1984, part of the ‘Night of the Action’ festival.
