180gsm colored vinyl re-issue of 'Scourge', the fourth studio album by UK thrash metal pioneers XENTRIX, originally released in 1996!
Emerging from the UK metal underground in the latter part of the 80’s after forming in 1984 under the moniker Sweet Vengeance, and re-christened Xentrix in 1988, the band quickly established themselves in the burgeoning Thrash Metal underground with their debut LP ‘Shattered Existence’, having been signed to Roadrunner Records.
'Scourge' was originally released in 1996 through Heavy Metal Records. It is the only album to feature vocalist Simon Gordon and guitarist Andy Rudd, and their final one with bassist Paul "Macka" MacKenzie. The album goes into a more groove metal style that was very popular at the time. It was the band's final studio album for more than two decades, until the release of 'Bury The Pain' in 2019.
Xentrix have been referred to as one of the "big four" of English thrash metal, along with Acid Reign, Onslaught and Sabbat.
Xentrix have reformed in recent years, releasing their last album ‘Seven Words’ in 2022.
