Since 2006, ABDUCTION has been playing melancholic black metal with constantly evolving and changing structures, that alternates between moments of electric intensity and soothing acoustic parts. Entirely written in French, lyrics deal with the inevitable passing of time, question our relationship to death, society, memory and French history.
As usual Toutes Blessent La Dernière Tue features a classic painting as a cover artwork (borrowed from the works of Hubert Robert, major French painter of the 18th century). The lyrics explore very different topics this time, such as the way the “new” world treats the soldiers that are coming back from the First World War, or the discoveries of navigators and plane pilots, as well as more contemporary topics or our love for classic literature (tribute to Edmond Rostand’s hero, Cyrano De Bergerac). And perhaps the most striking surprise on the album is its final song: ABDUCTION’s first cover ever : “Allan”, from Mylène Farmer.
