  • Description

Founded in 2012, ABYSSAL ASCENDANT takes its roots in the Lovecraftian Mythology, and the 90's Death Metal (Morbid Angel, Immolation, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, Morgoth...).
They release in October 2013, its first six tracks opus in free digital format called "Unleashing the Outer Plagues" : six dark Death Metal tracks in varied rates, from abysmal slowness to aggressive blasts, with lyrics that strut on the stage the cosmic abominations, rituals to the Ancient Ones, violent confrontations between Man and entities that exceed his reason and make him sink into madness.
Going on with their "Cthulhu Mythos Death Metal" concept, ABYSSAL ASCENDANT released its first album in 2015, “Chronicles of the Doomed Worlds - Part. I”, to perpetuate the chronicles of the Ancient Ones, and summon a putrid tide under the steering of the Stars.
5 Years later, the band finalized their second album and develops the second part of their chronicles still influenced by the Ancient Ones, writing about the different cults that are suggested, inspired or interpreted from Lovecraftian Mythology. That new masterpiece has been recorded and mixed by Stef Tanker at Disvlar Studio (Blockheads) and mastered by the reference in death metal in France, Mobo at Conkrete Studio (Mercyless, Ad patres, etc.).
