Amenra - De Doorn - CD

"De Doorn, meaning 'The Thorn' in French, aims to bridge the gap between Amenra's studio work and live performances. This new album marks a departure from the Mass I-VI era, shifting focus from the individual griefs of the band members to an invitation for others to manifest and traverse the darkness towards the light. The album is designed to be more lush, immersive, and infused with soundscapes and amplified cathedral echoes, all while featuring deeply intimate lyrics sung entirely in Flemish for the first time. It includes contributions from Caro Tanghe of OATHBREAKER throughout the work. Notably, this is the first album with bassist Tim De Gieter, who also oversaw the recording at Much Luv Studio in Lembeke, Belgium. De Doorn was mastered by Frank Arkright at Abbey Road Studio in London."
