Black Paisley - The new wave of Classic Rock
Formed in 2015 - Swedish Black Paisley is one of the upcomers in the NWOCR (New Wave Of Classic Rock) bringing on the heritage from bands like Whitesnake, Scorpions and Thunder combined with modern production and praised new songwriting.

The band was initially a spinoff from StephMetal - a Swedish cover band that had existed for many years Stephmetal won the Swedish “Company of rock” in 2009 and gigged frequently both in Sweden and abroad (UK, Fr, Ne and No) during the 2000’s.

The project was named BLACK PAISLEY, after Bon Jovi’s Ritchie Sambora’s classic Fender signature guitar from 1996.With the name you get an embedded connection to the Melodic Rock with catchy melodies which is the best way to describe Black Paisley’s music

The dream of making an album with their own material had often been discussed during the time of Stephmetal. Blomqvist had for years written material partially tested both live and in the rehearsal room, and subsequently felt that now was the time to make this dream of an album become reality. This ended up in releasing the critically acclaimed debut “Late Bloomer” in early 2017.

Peppered by the success of the debut, the band started the work on the second album directly and was released in 2018 hence the name Perennials which is a continued word game from the kingdom of plants.

In the beginning of 2020 Franco Santunione was introduced to Blomqvist for another side-project and a new constellation including Blomqvist, Emanuelsson and founding drummer Robert Karaszi started to rehearse and write new material.

In the summer of 2020 this emerged into the new Black Paisley line-up as Franco decided to leave Electric Boys and go full-time with Black Paisley. The former Paisley members (Hedin, Wirensjö and Kerslow) went off to create a new rockproject. At this point the band made a decision to steer in on a little different direction musically, introducing a riffier sound and more uptempo songs, without abandoning the catchy melodies that have become one of Black Paisley’s hallmarks

The reformed Paisley rehearsed and recorded all summer at Franco’s old friend Martin Karlegård studio (from 90’s band Reptile Smile). Karlegård also played a part in the song-making and vocal arrangements as well as doing all backing vocals along with Franco.

Rambler where originally released 6th of December 2020, with no Physical Distribution. Now the album is re-release with one Bonus track for the CD version and 2 bonus tracks for the Vinyl to celebrate a global distribution deal with Sound Pollution.

Without Us - Acoustic A classic unplugged version of Without Us. Downscaled with 2 guitars, in a new more bluesy, emotional version of the original rocker. Performed by Stefan and Franco. Imagine Bon Jovi's MTV awards version of Living on a prayer:ish...
