The first, legendary record from Italy’s Aborym - already drenched in industrial influences which will
explode in the following “Fire Walks With Us” - “Kali Yuga Bizarre” came out to public acclaim in
1999. It features a line-up of talents such as Set Teitan (later with Dissection and Watain), the
mastermind Fabban, Nysrok (Alien Vampires) and vocalist Yorga SM. Guest vocals are performed
by Attila Csihar, who will become main vocalist in subsequent records. Includes a cover by Coil,
“Hellraiser”.
Aborym draws inspiration from classic and pitch-black extreme metal alongside industrial and
electronic sounds. “Kali Yuga Bizarre” still stands as a fierce and uncompromising black metal opus
withstanding perfectly the passing of time.
