Fanalo - Fanalo - CD

FANALO is a French guitarist and artist, living in Bordeaux, who evolves in a Progressive Hard Rock register. A professional musician active since the mid-90s, he is mainly known for having been one of the 2 members of the instrumental metal band PLUG-IN. This group notably released the album "HIJACK" (2010) on which many international guitar heroes participated such as Andy Timmons, Bumblefoot, Mattias Eklundh, Sylvain Coudret (Soilwork), Patrick Rondat, Christophe Godin, Jean Fontanille... At the same time, he is also known for having been sideman guitarist for Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal from 2002 to 2007 for his solo project, before he joined GUNS'N'ROSES.

After having devoted himself to his many educational activities (he is notably the director of CIAM, one of the most recognized training centers for musicians in France), but also after having participated for several years in tribute bands dedicated to IRON MAIDEN or VAN HALEN, FANALO returns today to creation by producing his first self-produced solo album. The first instrumental composition from this album, "Modafocka" finally appeared on the 3rd album of the "United Guitars" collective (in which guitarists such as Georges Lynch, Franck Gambale, Mark Littieri, Jean-Marie Ecay, Poppa Chubby participated. ..).

On this album of 10 compositions, he delivers 3 instrumental pieces in line with what he was able to develop with PLUG-IN, but also and above all 7 sung pieces for which he was able to collaborate with 4 singers, including the famous American singer Jeff Scott Soto (Yngwie Malmsteen'S Rising Force, Journey, Sons of Apollo...), but also Butcho Vukovic (Watcha, Last Temptation), or his friends Thomas Smith and Christophe Ithurritze. These pieces are mainly part of a Rock / Metal register, but each track has its own identity tinged with other influences (Prog, Metal, Stoner, Punk, Electro, Orchestral, Gospel...).

If we find the pyrotechnic and inspired guitar playing of FANALO, this time, this one also took care of all the instrumental parts (Drums/beatmaking, Bass, synth...). Beyond the singers, he also invited other friends to participate in this album such as his friend and influence Bumblefoot and the fantastic French guitarist Julien Lacharme (Alpha Blondy, Gno...) on guitars, the Electro artist Volkor X on keyboards, orchestrator/arranger Manu Martin (Patrick Rondat...).

Last anecdote: according to a rumor circulating for almost 15 years, FANALO would in fact be the guitarist BUCKETHEAD. This curious rumor circulating regularly has fueled many videos and articles on the internet, some of which have been viewed nearly 2 million times.
