    The Skanners are an Italian band from Bolzano formed in 1982.
    After signing a contract with CGD M.Milano in 1984, they released their first album "Dirty Armada" in 1986, achieving success in Italy and Austria.

    In 1988, they reached popularity with the album "Pictures of War," opening concerts for bands like Motörhead and Twisted Sister.
    In 1995, they released "The Magic Square" and opened concerts for Deep Purple in Italy.
    For their 15th anniversary in 1997, they released the live album "Skanners Live." In 2001, they signed with Underground Symphony and in 2002 released "Flagellum Dei.
    " In 2006, they reissued their first two albums. In 2008, "The Serial Healer" was released, followed by a performance at Wacken Open Air in 2010.
    They promoted "Factory of Steel" in 2012/13 and in 2013 released the biography "Eins Zwei Drei Metal Party." In 2015, they dedicated their eighth album to guitarist Max Quinzio and participated in numerous festivals. In 2018, they recorded "Temptation," released in 2019, followed by a tour with Anthrax and Doro Pesch.

    During COVID-19, they composed new music and in 2021 released their first "Greatest Hits" in honor of their career, celebrating their 40th anniversary in 2022.
