Originally intended to be the intimate companion for the limited edition of "Futur Antérieur", Celluloide's latest album released in January 2020, the "Modulation de Fréquence" EP today trades its rather confidential status for a more generous diffusion, which will allow as many listeners as possible to benefit from the essential complements that this collection of new electro pop nuggets has to offer.
Here's what's to expect from this opulent extension of the latest album : longer versions of singles "Quelque Chose S'Efface", "La Cité des Aveugles" and "Si Tu Renonces", produced by the band itself in a sheer 12" versions fashion, and which could possibly steal the show to the shorter versions on "Futur Antérieur". A deliciously retro-futuristic version of "Quelque Chose S'Efface (VHS Edit)" as well as two unreleased tracks from the same recording sessions as the album's complete the program of this EP filled with surprises galore : "Je Vis Encore" and "Air Conditionné" which we remember the video with astronaut suits that was unveiled during the lockdown period.
Borrowing its title from a track on "Futur Antérieur", "Modulation de Fréquence" affords itself a cross-referenced joke and doesn't simply reshuffle the cards, but throws a few extra trumps in the group's game.
