Drakkar - Spread Your Wings - CD DIGIPAK

Drakkar, formed in 1995, is one of the leading bands in the Italian Power Metal scene, alongside groups like Rhapsody Of Fire, Labyrinth, and Domine. Led by guitarist Dario Beretta, they released two demo tapes in 1996 and 1997, securing a contract with Dragonheart Records, affiliated with Audioglobe. Their debut album, "Quest For Glory" (1998), and the follow-up "Gemini" (2000) were well-received internationally. The third album, "Razorblade God" (2002), with a new lineup and singer Davide Dell'Orto, incorporated thrash and 70s hard rock influences. After encountering a series of issues, the band slowed down and released the digital-only EP "Classified" in 2007.
Their true comeback came in 2012 with "When Lightning Strikes," marking the beginning of a new era with producer Mattia Stancioiu. This was followed by "Run With The Wolf" (2015) and the EP "Cold Winter’s Night" (2018). After writing and recording a new album in 2019, the pandemic delayed its release until 2021, when they released "Chaos Lord." In 2024, under Punishment 18 Records, their seventh album "Spread Your Wings" will be released, inspired by Diego Delpiano's novel "Helliger Quest," with a sound influenced by the 80s.
