Five years since their much-acclaimed “VUUR VAN VERZET”, early 2023 will see Dutch folk metal collective HEIDEVOLK return with their seventh studio album on Napalm Records, and continues to keep the pagan flame burning!

In a world of myths, nature and legends of the Veluwe, Netherlands, the concept album is a powerful odyssey of the Self, deeply rooted in metal and folklore.

“WEDERKEER” (return of revive) invites you to take a step back from any media and to look inside, find out who we are, what is driving us, what are our values, what did we learn from life until now? While each of the twelve new songs individually deals with an aspect in, mostly as a story, HEIDEVOLK perfectly knows how to unleash proud hymns and unsophisticated in-your-face metal songs!

Tracks such as “Klauwen Vooruit” or the epic “De Strijd Duurt Voort” immediatly kick off with the raw pagan metal power HEIDEVOLK are loved for, merging folkloric soundscapes, fast-pace riffs and ultralarge choirs.

But they also underline their progression of songwriting and never forget their paganic roots of profound, emotionally haunting songs such as “Drink met de Goden (Walhalla)” or the epic, accoustic album title track, “Wederkeer”.
