Hellhammer were a Swiss metal band considered as a pioneer of the extreme metal and black metal genres, alongside Venom and Bathory in the early1980s. Formed by Tom G Warrior and Martin Eric Ain, 'Apocalyptic Raids' was originally released in 1984 and is widely renowned as a cult album.
