Hrafngrimr - Niflheims Auga - CD DIGISLEEVE

HRAFNGRÍMR is a Nü Nordic/Dark Pagan group founded by MATTJÖ HAUSSY (formerly of Skáld) at the beginning of 2020. The group has released 14 singles and 1 EP, offering contemporary lyrics in the language of the Vikings accompanied by modern, immersive music using both traditional and contemporary instruments.
HRAFNGRÍMR translates from Old Norse as «He Who Bears the Raven’s Mask» and has distinguished itself through its music and lyrics, offering a critical view of the contemporary world. HRAFNGRÍMR’s artistic approach remains faithful to the origins of its various members, all of whom come from the Rock or Metal scene, both in aesthetics and composition.
With their debut album «NIFLHEIMS AUGA,» HRAFNGRÍMR showcases a powerful vocal duo blending Christine Roche’s rock voice with Mattjö HAUSSY’s distinctive guttural vocals.
«NIFLHEIMS AUGA» draws from Norse mythology to create a dreamlike universe and share its vision of the modern world. As usual, HRAFNGRÍMR offers a subtle blend of instruments and eras.
By personifying beings part-shadow, part-raven from a poetic Niflheim, HRAFNGRÍMR invites listeners on a journey through drumbeats and chants, aiming to awaken awareness of the histories of societies and peoples. This is the «View of Niflheim.»
