"You have reached your destination" - isn't that one of the most promising sentences of our time? Even spoken by a disembodied voice, sounding from a chip-controlled navigation system, it resonates with a deep longing for security, almost like an allegory for life as such. NAVIGATION is also the title of the new single by KILL STRINGS. A massive groover, in which pure euphoria crystallises out of the diffuse feeling of departure and new beginning. A song with a current background, as singer and guitarist Lee tells us: "What things and people give you orientation and support? NAVIGATION is about precisely this question, which the lockdowns have so abruptly forced upon us all. It has become clear that whether it's family and friends or even our newly discovered hobbies and music, all of these things navigate us through life and make us who we are. Without all of that, our lives become quiet."

Now comes the next step - and what a step it is: LIMBO is the debut album of KILL STRINGS. Produced by Frieder Does (Blackout Problems, Antiheld), it unfolds in all its beauty what the singles LET ME DREAM and currently NAVIGATION have more than hinted at - the really big throw between alternative rock and epic pop, sometimes cinematically wide, then again of intense reduction. The bandwidth is immense, yet the sound of KILL STRINGS, their stylistic DNA, is always present. ORANGE LILIES flickers between stirring anthem and intense calm, WHATEVER IT TAKES wires dark mood with sky-high melodic arc, EVERMORE and BLACK GOLD groove like hell and where MONSTER is written on it, there is definitely one in it, with thick beats, casual backings and a stadium chorus for the repeat button.
