Between post-rock and modern atmospheric metal, LÒDZ draws the essence of their music from their worldview. They exude a powerful and melodic music shaded with a dark bittersweet tone. LÒDZ, sometimes quiet, sometimes intense, screams its rage and distress through this suffocated society.

Lòdz’s latest album marks a milestone in the band’s life. New era, new line-up, new creative process.
Each step in the writing of the album was conducted far away from the world : the band settled in faraway houses for days and nights dedicated to composition, sound experimentation and the seeking of a unique emotion.
The goal : to get rid of time and reality in order to reinvent oneself, to separate oneself from any stylistic constraint, to go into the red, even if it means challenging one’s own identity in order to find the most sincere and personal sound possible. Alternately fu-rious and initiatory, Moons and Hideaways is an invitation to a raw and vital experience, with an open heart. An artistic approach that borrows from post-genres and atmospheric metal, resolutely actual, but written by people traumatized by the dark and doom music of the 90’s. There is urgency in this record, instinct too. But there is also excess, and a sense of extreme : an unspeakable emotion overtakes us, takes control, like when we go through the different phases of a mourning... Nikita Kamprad (der Weg einer Freiheit, Ghost City Recordings), in charge of the mix, has understood this and has managed to get the best out of the compositions in his personal artistic quest to express pure emotion.
