Malemort - Live Au Mennecy Metal Fest - CD

After 3 unanimously acclaimed albums (all of them 'album of the month' in the benchmark magazine Rock Hard), it was time for Malemort to finally offer an official LIVE show!
Renowned for their live shows, which combine the energy of punk with the technical solidity of prog-tinged metal, Malemort are not newcomers.Years of concerts, crossing swords with prestigious bands (Death Angel, UFO, Crowbar, Alter Bridge, No One Is Innocent...), a HELLFEST Mainstage: these are the skills that have forged the band's know-how.

Previously, only the Hellfest concert had been recorded, but exclusively in the anniversary issue No. 200 of Rock Hard. "Malemort Live au Mennecy Metal Fest" is therefore a major first.

The success of physical sales of the last album, "Château-Chimères", confirmed the public's interest in the band, after the already best-selling "Ball Trap".So it was natural that the setlist for their most recent concerts should be built around these two albums.

This live video was shot at the Mennecy Metal Fest, where the band opened the evening on the mainstage for Paradise Lost.The technical conditions were optimal, the site magnificent, the audience large, and the Malemort fans on hand. Add to this a particularly sharp performance from the band, and you'll understand why the concert was chosen for this date.
The concert was mixed in such a way as to preserve the live feel and interaction with the audience, for an energetic and warm result that is highly representative of what has linked Malemort to their audience for over a decade. As for the mastering at Conkrete Studio, it completes a powerful sound that lives up to the challenge. The artwork was once again entrusted to Blitz'Art, who is well known well beyond the metal sphere, and whose work on 'Château-Chimères' was unanimously acclaimed.

The CD edition has one advantage over the vinyl, since it contains two rare bonus tracks, played only once live by Malemort.
