The Tours-based noise duo are back after a 9-year absence. Recorded by Amaury Sauvé, the new 11-track album was mixed by Patrice Guillerme and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. The band will be hitting the road in 2025, and a tour is in the pipeline with tour operator Vedettes.

Anyone who hasn't seen a banana disguise slap you in the face with a savate, got wood shavings in the eye or been hit in the gut with a scraper handle has never experienced a PNEU concert.
The Touraine duo formed in 2006 have literally turned rock on its head, mocking its seriousness, mocking its mannerisms and sublimating its energy over 3 albums and a handful of splits.
Above all, PNEU have put a smile on their faces and given hundreds of gigs from the USA to Japan.
Hyper-active and prolific, the two acolytes (Jean Baptiste Geoffroy and Jérôme Vassereau) are involved in a host of projects, each more adventurous than the last (Tachycardie, Franky Goes to Pointe à Pitre, Gamut, Institutrice, Binidu, La Colonie de Vacances...).
It seemed logical enough to call this new album ‘Get Old Or Die Tryin’' (a nod to 50cent, just in case), the famous “album of maturity”.
Gone are the coupé-décalé, welcome the blasts beats. Gone are the sweet and savoury melodies, hello electronic treatments.
Powerful and energetic, this road to the EPHAD is strewn with huge pressure rises, devastating riffs and a jouissive ardour that's enough to make you want to rip your pleura off.What emerges is a jubilant feeling, overwhelmed by the duo's ability to keep their feet on the ground. There's always a new level to reach and more inventiveness to keep us on our toes.From the instant hits ‘Mort aux chats’ and ‘Intelligence supérieure’ to the hypnotic ‘Getting Old’, PNEU's 4th opus is as seductive as it is disconcerting.Basically, it's the same house, but the new insulation has a different look. The walls are lined with a kind of protruding bitcrusher, and every time you turn a door you'll hear a shrill feedback or a rhythmic pile-up.But upstairs, there's always the purity of a punk/hardcore drive, or even a unifying theme.
