DEFENDER is one of Germany’s most powerful heavy metal bands and was formed in Balingen in 2016. They are now among the leading figures of the new true metal scene. If you had to describe the band in three words, “young,” “wild,” and “metal” would definitely be on the list. Sonically, DEFENDER bridges the gap between the raw Teutonic metal of 1986 and the driving speed and heavy metal sound of the old Hamburg School à la HELLOWEEN and RUNNING WILD. In November 2026, DEFENDER will release their highly anticipated second album “Titans of Fire.” It was once again recorded at the renowned Empire Studios under the direction of Rolf Munkes. Ten songs packed with razor-sharp riffs, blistering dual guitar solos, precise drumming, and catchy melodies.
