France has always been home to a wealth of quality underground bands, some of which deserve more recognition than they receive. TOWERING is one of those acts that deserves a higher spot on the bill, as their blend of modern and old-school death metal hits the mark. The rapid and melodic sections may remind you of a less oriental NILE. The riffs and song progressions often evoke the sounds of both MORBID ANGEL and IMMOLATION. The vocals transport us back to the Swedish scene of the '90s, reminiscent of DISMEMBER, for instance. The heaviest moments will delight fans of ASPHYX and other death metal gems. This is a must-have!
