Skullboogey - Dirty Bones Rolling - CD

The name says it all, Dirty Bones Rolling, after more than 20 years of band history, the fifth studio album has been completed. The old bones are rolling again. When the idea of recording the new studio album live came up, enthusiasm quickly spread among all band members. Then came the silence with the pandemic lockdown. Despite all the adversity, songs were written. The attempt to realise the album and the rehearsals by sending audio files back and forth turned out to be the wrong approach. They decided to do the opposite. So, after intensive rehearsals, 13 basic tracks were recorded live in the Eckton studio over two (!) days. In order to preserve the magic of "playing together", care was taken during mixing to maintain the roughness of the songs and the recordings. The result is 13 of the finest riff rock songs with influences from metal, punk and blues. As usual, all the songs were penned by Stefan Wendling, who once again let one or two iconic riffs flow out of his guitar. The riffs and grooves remain the backbone of the Skullboogey sound, while Stefan's vocals put his stamp on the whole thing with floating harmonies and growls.
