Thunder through the gates! Starborn hails from Newcastle, England. Beginning in the summer of 2012 the band would focus and build upon the writing projects established prior to its formation, ever evolving and sharpening its sound.
Starborn's presence first became known with the limited release of its demo by Swords & Chains, which would go on to sell out promptly. Following hot on the heels Starborn unleashed 'The Dreaming City' which was quickly snapped up via Stormspell Records and garnered some excellent press throughout the metal scene. The band would go on to share the stage with Steelwing, Noctum, Seven Sisters, Risen Prophecy, Ranger, Battleaxe, Victorius, as well as opening Newcastle's premier heavy metal festival BroFest. Behind the scenes 'Savage Peace' began to take its form, snarling in the shadows, resilient to the tumultuous stream of setbacks, silent and patient in its determination.
Blending the time honoured value of the eighties US power metal greats, with modern know-how, and a brazen disregard for boundaries; Starborn present its mission statement. Progressive structuring, true story-teller lyrics conjured from literature, graphic novels, film, and humanity's darkest corners, muscular guitar riffing, thundering rhythms, piercing vocals, and flaming guitar solos.
