With their uncompromising vision and diverse, swirling, guitar-heavy sound, Chicago quartet The Smashing Pumpkins touched on prog rock, metal, psychedelia and dream pop, becoming one of the most successful bands of their generation.

This fantastic set captures a pre-signed Smashing Pumpkins live radio session for WZRD FM in Chicago, from the day before the release show for the 'Light Into Dark' compilation in March 1989. The set features an early recording of "Rhinoceros" along with covers of The Velvet Underground's "Venus In Furs" and "Cinnamon Girl" by Neil Young.
