The Soul/AOR Masterpiece by the “German George Benson” – feat. Nils Landgren, Bireli Lagrene, Randy Brecker, Kim Sanders and songs he wrote with Popstar Sarah Connor. "Soul Searching" is the title of the new album by singing guitarist Torsten Goods, known as the "German George Benson". His seventh under his own name, the album is not only a source of fresh "feelgood music", influenced by jazz, soul, blues and the laid-back West Coast/AOR sounds of late 70's California, with fabulous guests like Randy Brecker, Kim Sanders, Nils Landgren or Bireli Lagrene. "Soul Searching" also tells the story of Torsten Good's optical transformation caused by his autoimmune disorder Alopecia, in which the body fights its own hair. The search for identity, which also involved getting used to his new, bald appearance, is the central theme of "Soul Searching", evident in songs like "Naked Funk" or the ballad "I Had To Learn Not To Care". Goods wrote the latter together with German Soul/Pop-sensation Sarah Connor, with whom the music author award winner and double Echo Jazz nominee has been performing live as "musical director" for several years. Goods is also on tour with his own new program in the fall. The recipe: "smooth vocals, fast guitars and feelgood grooves".
