Witchspell - Witchspell - LP

WITCHSPËLL was founded in 2016 by four friends who decided to get together and play Heavy Metal in Morelia city, Mexico. Adrián Carbajal (Vocals/Guitars) and Daniel Luna (Drums) are the former members of the band, with influences in classic Heavy Metal of late 70’s and 80’s. Later on, Harold Rentería (Bass) and Kevin Chavez (Guitars) joined them, thus forming the first line-up.

From 2016 to 2019, they began to work on their first studio album. In summer 2019, the band recorded a 5 songs EP prior to their debut, untitled “Demons”, released on Halloween night of the same year.

In December 2019, they entered the studio to record their first album, the namesake “Witchspëll”, released on April 30th, 2020, during the coronavirus pandemic. The LP contains only new stuff (without songs from “Demons”). In late 2020, Daniel Luna decided to leave the band, with Jonathan Mora stepping in to fill in on drums.

Due to the pandemic situation, the LP did not benefit of a promotional tour, limited only to an online distribution until 2021, when the French label STEEL SHARK RECORDS officially made the physical release of the album.

In 2021, the band released a new studio album, untitled “The Blind Disease”, that should be later available again at STEEL SHARK RECORDS…
