The renowned English folk metal band, WarlocK A.D., is proud to announce their upcoming studio album, titled "Book II: The Valley of Vâgené".
This highly anticipated work will be released on September 27, 2024, under the Rockshots Records label.
Formed in 2019, WarlocK A.D. are a Heavy Metal band from the West Midlands, UK, that blends together Symphonic, Power, and Folk Metal elements with Parodical Fantasy themes. Their live shows are performed as Live Action RPG events where a dice is used to determine the direction and story of the setlist, creating a unique live experience at every show.
"Book II: The Valley of Vâgené" marks a new era for WarlocK A.D., combining the epic nature of their folk metal roots with symphonic and progressive influences never before explored. The album was recorded at StormForge Studios in London, with production by the renowned Ragnar Bloodfang, known for his work with bands like Amon Amarth and Ensiferum. Whiteacre the Nomad, formerly known as Whiteacre the Mighty Warlock, finds himself lost in the multiverse in the magical land of Brittanni after a great battle. Accompanied by three valiant heroes, Whiteacre embarks on a journey to the Valley of Vâgené, a portal that will allow him to reunite with his lost allies at the end of "Book I: The Resurrection".
Separated from his brothers following an intense battle with Bôl-Saïx the Decimator, Whiteacre finds himself powerless and stranded as a Nomad in a strange new world… in the Land of Brittanni…
With the help of Quinn Eilianther the Elven Prince of Sherwood, Horatus the Mushroom Wizard, and Ahriman Cullblade the Shadow Assassin, Whiteacre the Nomad makes for a gateway to the multiverse… The Valley of Vâgené.
But perils await the party - the greatest of them all being the Mighty Dwarf Empire of Lochnagar, led by the Evil Emperor Thorumm III… The fate of Brittanni - nay, the entire multiverse - rests in these heroes’ hands… “Onward we ride…”
"Book II: The Valley of Vâgené" is a symphonic work that transports the listener into an epic Dungeons and Dragons-style adventure, narrated through a heavy metal musical with intertwined motifs and reprises. Each track on the album represents a key part of the party's quest through Brittanni, creating an immersive and captivating listening experience.
Fans can expect a cinematic, accurate, and adequate album that is already highly anticipated. The album will be an epic tale of adventure and mystery, and each track tells a crucial part of the band's journey.
WarlocK A.D. will offer a unique live show, similar to a "choose your own adventure" experience, with a setlist determined by the roll of a 12-sided die, ensuring a different and engaging experience each time.
The band's writing process always begins with the story, followed by the creation of a basic structure that evolves into a blend of full orchestration and metal. Every band member contributes to the creation of the songs, making each track a collaborative and unique work.
From their origins in 80s heavy metal devoid of orchestration, WarlocK A.D. has evolved into a full symphonic metal band. Their main influences include artists like Dio, Nanowar of Steel, Victorius, Nightwish, and Wind Rose, as well as composers Nobuo Uematsu and Masayoshi Soken.
"Book II: The Valley of Vâgené" represents a new creative peak for WarlocK A.D., combining the epicness of symphonic metal with a compelling narrative and an innovative live show. Metal fans and epic story enthusiasts won't want to miss this new chapter in the saga of WarlocK A.D.
