2024 marked a significant moment in MIDNIGHT ODYSSEY’s history, as for the first time in 17 years, Dis Pater brought additional musicians into his project to perform live in Europe.
“A Mass Of Fallen Stars” celebrates the event by offering fans the first live audiovisual document of MIDNIGHT ODYSSEY, recorded and filmed in Toulon, France, inside a Protestant temple. Thanks to a setlist that draws on songs from all the band’s recordings (from the seminal 2009 demo “Firmament” to the majestic “Biolume” trilogy, passing through the acclaimed masterpieces of “Funerals From The Astral Sphere” and “Shards Of Silver Fade”), “A Mass Of Fallen Stars” offers a complete overview of the stylistic code of an artist that over time has synthesized a personal musical formula ranging from atmospheric black metal to ambient, from symphonic doom metal to dark wave.
