Formed in 1981 by rhythm guitarist Scott Ian and bassist Dan Lilker. Anthrax is considered one of the leaders of the thrash metal scene from the 1980s, and is one of the "Big Four" thrash metal bands, along with Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer.
A staple of rock-radio and regulars on the US and worldwide tour circuits, this extraordinary band remain among America s favourite rock groups.
