Formed in 1994, the Italian-Norwegian duo APOLOKIA has long operated in the shadows, releasing only two demos in the 90s and an EP in 2007. 2013 marks the release of their first full-length album, "Kathaarian Vortex," featuring 40 minutes of cold, inhuman Black Metal (the BAR is particularly "necro"). Infused with a Noise feel, this record is not for the faint of heart; its rawness and pervasive unsettling atmosphere make "Kathaarian Vortex" a challenging yet truly disturbing work of Black Metal.
