Released in 2012, The Union Of Crowns marked Bury Tomorrow's breakthrough and established the Southampton quintet as one of the leading forces in modern British metalcore. Their second studio album combines crushing riffs, soaring melodic hooks, relentless breakdowns and the unmistakable vocal interplay between Dani Winter-Bates and Jason Cameron, creating a sound that is both ferocious and deeply anthemic. The album was also the band's first release for Nuclear Blast and the last to feature founding lead guitarist Mehdi Vismara. Driven by fan favourites such as "Lionheart," "Royal Blood," "An Honourable Reign," and "Knight Life," The Union Of Crowns showcases a band confidently expanding beyond the foundations of their debut Portraits. Rich in memorable choruses, intricate guitar work and emotionally charged songwriting, the album balances melodic accessibility with uncompromising heaviness, making it a landmark release in the evolution of contemporary metalcore. More than a decade after its original release, The Union Of Crowns remains an essential chapter in Bury Tomorrow's catalogue and a defining album of the genre.
