As Swedish doom champion CANDLEMASS approaches 40 years of existence, ‘Witchcraft’ goes back to the early beginnings of the band and contains their initial recordings under the Candlemass moniker. Even in these formative years, Edling & co demonstrate a clear vision of where this beast was heading, whilst already laying these strong foundations on the run up to the recording sessions for the monumental debut album, 1986’s ‘Epicus Doomicus Metallicus’.
‘Witchcraft’ features the classic 1985 demo in full, plus also the O.A.L. studio demo recordings laid to tape later that same year.
