"Two longtime allies within the Québec Black Metal scene, Monarque and Moribond, join forces to offer a joint album from their ambient projects. On Arcanes, Cimerion and Oublieth offer a journey filled with atmosphere and emotion, dedicated to two giants of ambient music who recently left us, Klaus Schulze and Vangelis. Rather than approach this opus in a classic “split album” way, the two collaborators have opted to compose a single soundtrack within which their tracks alternate in a very natural way while keeping their own uniqueness. Mostly recorded from analog synthesizers, Arcanes sees each group at the top of their game, in an album that will captivate listeners."
