With “Darkness Is My Crown,” DEFACING GOD release their most personal and intense album to date. The Danish extreme metal visionaries once again combine blackened death metal, symphonic darkness, and occult atmospheres—this time, however, with a strong focus on inner conflicts, loss, transformation, and self-empowerment.
The album is a brutally honest testimony of a journey through psychological abysses to insight and strength. Darkness is not suppressed here, but accepted, shaped, and turned into a source of identity and power. “Darkness Is My Crown” stands for authenticity, emotional depth, and an uncompromising artistic vision—another strong statement in the development of DEFACING GOD.
The album will be released on March 27, 2026, and was mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen (Heaven Shall Burn, Babymetal, Belphegor ...) at Antfarm Studios.
